Orange County MPs searched inside, outside and around the apartment complex on Saturday. Marcano’s family traveled from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando to speak with detectives.
Marcano’s father, Marlon Marcano, spoke to WESH 2 outside the apartment complex on Saturday. He said his daughter lived and worked for the apartment complex in the rental office. The father said he spoke with his daughter on Friday afternoon, but did not hear from her when she got out of work. He said Marcano was due to catch a flight to her family’s home later that night, but said she never boarded the plane.
“A big problem that people who have recently moved in have had is that the door we have isn’t always closed, and people would like it to always be closed,” said a resident of the Asia Owens apartment complex. . “I mostly think after that I would agree with them on that.”
