Early life and education

He was suspended by the IJR in 2017 for an article he helped write that claimed former US President Barack Obama’s visit to Hawaii had something to do with the judge blocking Executive Order 13780. of U.S. District Derrick Watson. He had previously been warned that the story could mean the IJR was promoting conspiracy theories, but Benny helped write it anyway and was suspended as a result. Shortly after, he verbally abused several IJR staff, leading some of them to quit, and Benny was first demoted for violating company ethics, then dismissed in October 2017.
Since November 2017, he has worked for the right-wing news and opinion site The Daily Caller and today also hosts his own show “The Benny Report”, which airs on NewsMax TV.
