The professional career of Vinesh Phogat

Asian Wrestling Championship – 2013
Vinesh Phogat is the first Indian woman to compete in the international event Asia Wrestling Championship. She defeats Nanami Irei, a player from Japan in the first round. In addition, she reached the quarter-finals. But unfortunately, they lost in the quarter-finals with Kazakhstan.

The Olympic – 2016
Vinesh qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics after defeating Poland’s Iwona Matkowska in the qualifying tournament held in Istanbul.

After winning gold at the Commonwealth Games, Vinesh won gold at the Asian Games in the 50kg wrestling event. She therefore became the first Indian woman to reach this level.
