Early life and education: Growing up in Chicago
Lusia was raised apparently an only child right where she was born, by her father Nicholas Strus and her mother Eugenia Strus, both of unknown professions.

Regarding her early interests, it doesn’t seem like she chose to divulge much on the topic, but most of the fans believe that she always harbored a penchant for performing arts. As for her education, she attended an unspecified high school in her birthplace, from where she matriculated in 1987. She afterwards enrolled into Illinois State University, graduating in 1991 with a bachelor of science degree in theater.
Career: From theater to television
Following her graduation, Lusia first joined Greg Allen’s Neo-Futurist ensemble. This congregation of artists worked in a way which allows everyone to write their own pieces, direct them, and star in them.

Lusia enjoyed sharing this idea for a while, and so it took her seven years to opt for a big screen casting. She made her TV series debut in 1998, in an episode of “Cupid” entitled “Meat Market”. Her film debut took place the next year, portraying Shella in “Stir of Echoes”. In 2000 she appeared in an episode of “Early Edition”, while in 2011 she gained a lot more exposure, being seen in three films, the most famous of which is “The Secret”. After two more roles in 2002, she took a break from acting until 2004, then starred as Alexa in “50 First Dates” – one of her most significant films.

2005 marked her video game debut, as she lent her voice to Kizuna Himuro in “Fatal Frame III: The Tormented”. She contributed to another six titles before the end of the decade.
2010 and beyond
“Jack in a Box” is Lusia’s 20th title, in which she played Gloria at the start of 2010, and continued through 2011 and 2012. Besides two more titles in 2011, she was in 2013 seen as Donna in two episodes of “Whatever This Is.” In 2014 she had three more roles, the most famous of which was Maggie Mae Cooper-Welles, one of the three lead characters in the Mary Madden drama entitled “Cotton”. After this, she started appearing in somewhat more famous titles, such as in two episodes of “Wayward Pines” in 2015, and another two in “Search Party” in 2016, plus taking on the role of Estelle in 20 episodes of “Good Behavior ”, through 2017.
She appeared in a single episode of “New Amsterdam” in 2018, and as Brenda in “Claws” for seven episodes into 2019. In the latter year, she also featured in “Buffaloed and “The Blacklist”, while she’s cast as Edith Malcolm as well in “The Descendant”, which is in post-production. This marks for a total of 32 acting credits thus far, and surely many more are to come.
