Christophe Maé was born under the name of Christophe Martichon on Thursday October 16, 1975 (47 years old; date 2022) in Carpentras in the Vaucluse. Her zodiac sign is Libra. At the age of 6, he learned musical instruments like the violin and the piano. He had to give up the sport after suffering from chronic arthritis which rendered him immobile at the age of 16. Stevie Wonder inspired him to learn the harmonica around the same time. Later, he was also inspired by Bob Marley for whom he also wrote a song “My spiritual father”. Christophe Maé began his pastry career after obtaining his pastry CAP and working for a time for his parents’ bakery in Carpentras before giving it up. His first musical appearance was on the show Graines de star as a performer of Jamiroquai’s song, Virtual Insanity.

He was in a relationship with Nadège Sarron (dancer and owner of a dance school), with whom he has two sons: Jules (born March 11, 2008) and Marcel (born August 16, 2013). He proposed to Nadège in 2016 in his song “Ballerina”, and they married in Porto-Vecchio the following year on June 29, 2017. A civil ceremony took place on June 29, 2017, in Corse-du-Sud, in the town hall of Porto-Vecchio, and a religious ceremony took place on July 1, 2017, in Porto-Vecchio.
Career
Maé’s first album was titled Sa Danse Donne and released in 2002-2003. This album is not considered his first studio album. He was discovered by Olivier Schultheis, who introduced him to Dove Attia in 2005 and invited him to appear in the musical Le Roi Soleil, where he was chosen to play the king’s brother (Emmanuel Moire).
He released his first studio album, my paradise (My Paradise) on March 19, 2007.
The following year he embarked on his first solo tour. A tour begins in small French rooms, quickly complete, and is immediately followed by a second, at the Zéniths, the following year. He then joined the Enfoirés troupe in 2008, except between 2015 and 2019. In January 2008, he joined the 52-artist choir which urges people to stop downloading from the internet.
The musicians of Maé’s group generally use acoustic instruments. Musicians he has cited as influences include Bob Marley, Ben Harper, Tracy Chapman and Jack Johnson, as well as French singers and songwriters Francis Cabrel and Gérard De Palmas. A Caribbean influence had been noticed in his first album, an African influence in his second, and a North American influence is present in his third.
