Audra Martin was born in September 1990 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, and is a broadcast journalist, best known for her work with Fox Sports North as a sideline reporter, while also hosting regional sports broadcasts. She was also an anchor during her time with the company.

Early career

Before graduating from college, she entered the Miss University of Central Florida pageant and won. Martin graduated with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in criminal justice. She credits her teachers there for motivating her to find a career in television. After completing her studies, she moved to Huntsville, Alabama, where she worked for the station WAY-TV as a secondary journalist. The ABC subsidiary serves the Tennessee Valley in northern Alabama.

While there, she often reported on the sidelines of games for the Atlanta Thrashers, a professional ice hockey team that competed in the National Hockey League (NHL) – the team would later become the Winnipeg Jets after moving. She also reported on the professional baseball team, the Atlanta Braves, as part of their organization. The team competes in Major League Baseball (MLB) as part of the National League (NL) East Division. The team is one of the most successful in professional baseball, winning its division title 14 times.

Switch to Fox Sports

After her work with WAAY-TV and several Atlanta crews, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to work as a sideline reporter for WRKN. While there, she covered games for the Tennessee Titans, a professional American football team that competes in the National Football League (NFL) as part of the American Football Conference (AFC) division. The team was originally called the Houston Oilers before moving to Tennessee.

In 2015, she moved to Fox Sports where she was named regional sportscaster, replacing Jamie Hersch who left the company to work for the NHL Network. She joined the Fox Sports North team, which covers sporting events for teams involved in the Upper Midwest region of the United States, with a focus on teams in Minnesota. They manage operations from offices in downtown Minneapolis and provide service to cable companies throughout Minnesota, Northern Iowa, Upper Michigan and Western Wisconsin. Working there, she primarily reports on teams such as the Minnesota Twins, a professional baseball team that has fielded 19 American League batting champions and hosted five All-Star Games. She also covers the Minnesota Wild ice hockey team.

Personal life and social media

For his personal life, not much is known about Martin’s romantic relationships. Many believe she is single due to the lack of evidence pointing to a potential romantic partner. Like her job, she is very fond of sports and tries to play in her spare time. She was a cheerleader and still enjoys playing softball, volleyball and swimming. She can play the violin, learned it very young, and sings too – she even sang the national anthem at a WNBA game.

She loves music and listens to it a lot. She uses her free time to spend time with friends or family; often visits his siblings to spend time with his nephew. She has several pet cats. Similar to many sportscasters, she is very active online via social media accounts. She has an account on Instagram where she has over 8,000 followers, using the platform to post behind-the-scenes photos of the work. She also gives insight into her life away from the media.
