Early life and education
Although born in Los Angeles, Amy spent her entire childhood in Wyoming as her parents decided to move there in search of a better life soon after she was born – her father is David Johnston, and is popular thanks to being a former five-time World Kickboxing Association professional champion, while not much is known about her mother.
Motivated and pushed by her father, Amy grew up learning martial arts – her father began teaching her when she was only five years old, although her mother believed this was not something a girl should do. She was already seriously into it when she turned six, and was learning several fighting styles including Kenpo, taekwondo, kickboxing, and kung fu among others – she also watched many movies starring Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, who served as her main role models ( besides her father).
Amy attended a local high school in Wyoming, and after matriculation decided to completely focus on her career of an actress and a stuntwoman, and didn’t enroll at college.

Amy launched her career of a stuntwoman as soon as she matriculated from high school, and has since appeared in a couple of worldwide popular movies, including “Deadpool”, “Deadpool 2”, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, and “Suicide Squad”, while she’s also appeared in several TV series such as “Lucifer”, “Agents of SHIELD”, and “Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope”. Although Amy was originally only serving as a stuntwoman, she subsequently began acting, and won her first roles of Rebecca in “Female Fight Squad” and Jane in “Lady Bloodfight” in 2016. In 2018, she played Jessica in “Breaking Barbi”, and Jane The Ripper in “Accident Man” – she has won the main role of Paloma Ramirez in the “Paloma’s Flight”movie which is set for release in September 2019. The movie follows the story of a photo journalist, Paloma Ramirez, after losing her US Navy SEAL husband in Afghanistan during a mission gone wrong.
Although hurt by her loss, Paloma still manages to find joy in her life, and goes on to work as a photo journalist in the city of Mexico. Being a martial artist, Amy has entered numerous competitions and has won a couple of first places, and holds several Grand Champion Awards. One of her most notable achievements was when she was invited by “Kung Fu Magazine” to perform at the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame Extravaganza. Amy’s voice can be heard in several video games, as she has lent her voice to a number of characters – she can be heard in “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy”, “Rise of the Tomb Raider”, “Shadow of the Tomb”, and “Spider-Man” for PS4. Amy is also a bit of a writer, as she has published her own book entitled “How to Stunt in Hollywood”, which serves as a guide to all those who would like to work as stuntmen (or stuntwomen) in Hollywood.
Personal matters and husband
Although she prefers not to share much about her love life with the public, some details about her fiancée and their life together are still known. Amy was dating Zac Morris for several years before he asked her to marry him on 10 November 2017 (rumor has it that they began dating in 2008) – the proposal caught Amy by surprise but she was happy to say ‘yes’. The engagement was then announced on her Instagram account when she uploaded a picture of her ring and stated how she was the ‘luckiest girl in the world’. The couple hasn’t married yet, and it doesn’t appear as they are planning on starting a family anytime soon, as they are both completely focused on their careers.

Amy’s careers of a stuntwoman and an actress are taking most of her time while she still manages to find gaps in her schedule for other things she enjoys doing.
