Early life and education

Who is her former husband Jose Canseco?
Jose was born in Havana, Cuba on 2 July 1964 – his zodiac sign is Cancer, and he holds both Cuban and American nationality. He gained recognition in 1986, when he began playing for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB), and was named Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year.
Jose was raised in Havana alongside his twin brother Ozzie Canseco, who’s also a former baseball player, by their father Jose Sr. and mother Barbara Canseco.
Jose Sr. worked for the oil and gasoline company Esso as their territory manager, but lost his job after the Cuban revolutionary and politician Fidel Castro came into power in 1959; he then moved his family to Miami, Florida in 1965, and became a territory manager for Amoco, another oil and gasoline company.
Jose became interested in baseball while still attending a local elementary school, and became serious about the sport while studying at Miami Coral Park High School. During his junior year, he was named Most Valuable Player, and upon matriculating in 1982, Jose chose not to pursue a college degree, but instead made himself eligible for the MLB Draft.
He was picked by the Oakland Athletics, but made his debut with the Miami Marlins of the Florida State League; Jose also competed in Minor League Baseball with a couple of teams, including Modesto A’s, Madison Muskies and Medford A’s.
He was named Baseball America Minor League Player of the Year in 1985, and the same year saw him make his MLB debut, on 2 September, and for the week of 23 to 29 September, Jose was named Player of the Week. In April 1988, he stated that he would steal more than 40 bases and hit over 40 home runs; Jose had exactly 40 steals and 42 home runs, and thus became the first ever MLB baseball player to have above 40 of both in a single season.
He was traded to the Texas Rangers on 31 August 1992, for cash and three players: Bobby Witt, Jeff Russell and Ruben Sierra, and remained with the Rangers for the following three years, then in 1995 began playing for the Boston Red Sox.
He returned to playing for the Oakland Athletics in January 1997, but only for a year, as he signed a $2.1 million contract with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1998; he retired from MLB on 13 May 2002.
He began playing for the San Diego Surf Dawgs of Golden Baseball League on 29 June 2006, but was traded to the Long Beach Armada after only a single game, Jose having requested the trade because of family obligations.
He has since been playing in Golden Baseball League, and has also played a couple of matches for minor league teams, most recently for the Normal CornBelters in 2018.
In their 2005 book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big”, Jose and three other baseball players revealed that they had used anabolic steroids throughout their careers, Jose stating that close to 90 percent of MLB players used steroids.
Jose had been married once prior to meeting Jessica; he exchanged vows with American social media star Esther Haddad in 1988, and they divorced in 1992. Esther received $7 million as a divorce settlement.
