Childhood and education
Tyler grew up in a family full of people involved in theater and music. Her father John Ritter was a popular actor, while her brother Jason is also an actor – her grandfather was a popular country singer named Tex. Tyler spent his entire childhood in Los Angeles and grew up dreaming of becoming an actor just like his father.
Tyler played many roles in high school and acted in several student films, however, when his father died suddenly on September 11, 2003, Tyler was really hurt and decided not to pursue an acting career. On February 3, 2015, the show was pulled from television after only 11 episodes aired and four unaired. On May 8, 2015, the series’ cancellation was made official, but it was later announced on June 12, 2015 that the remaining four episodes would air on Saturday nights – the series’ official closure was on July 11, 2015 after to have counted only one. season and 15 episodes.
The series follows the life of the McCarthys, a working-class family living in Boston whose members are all passionate about sports – the family man named Arthur, who works as a basketball coach at Cardinal Hennigan High School, decides to support his gay son Ronny by teaching him basketball. Ronny is played by Tyler Ritter who is completely disinterested in sports, while his two siblings in the show are both angry at their father as they are very athletic and looked forward to being chosen by their father.

Tyler is married to his other half Lelia Parma. The two met shortly after Tyler went to Argentina to work as a teacher and got married the same year after just a few months.
