One of Oppenheimer’s first credited works was in the film “Hot Mess”, released in 2010. During the same year, she was given her first acting opportunity in the independent film entitled “The Rock ‘n’ Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher”, starring Jack Roberts in the titular role – it was premiered at the Method Fest Independent Film Festival. The following year she had another role, in the independent feature entitled “Love Finder” in which she played the character Lexi.
She returned to screenwriting shortly afterwards, working on the screenplay of “The Remains” which has not yet been turned into a film despite gaining some attention. In 2015, she co-wrote one of the episodes of “fear the walking dead” during its first season – the show is a spin-off and companion series to “The Walking Dead”, initially taking place as a prequel to the original show. It is based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, following a group of survivors of a zombie apocalypse. During the same year, she worked on the film “We Are Your Friends”, which starred Zac Efron alongside Emily Ratajkowski, and on a pilot alongside Reese Witherspoon that was intended for ABC, but never came to fruition. One of her latest projects is the Facebook show entitled “Queen America”, which was released in 2018.

Personal Life
Meaghan married Tom Ellis in 2019 though she is not his first wife, as he was previously married to actress Tamzin Outhwaite who is known for her work in the soap opera “EastEnders”. They have three children from that marriage, to whom Oppenheimer is now stepmother. They were together for four years before deciding to marry.
The couple received a lot of support in the months leading up to the marriage with many of their followers wanting to donate to the couple for the wedding. However, she decided that the fans should instead donate to charity, specifically Planned Parenthood which both of them support. She loves cats and owns several. She loves to express her opinions on current events, following the political scene of both the UK as well as the US.
