Acting career in Yugoslavia

At the age of 11, Jasmin made his film debut in the film “Boy With A Violin”, and his first major role came in 1985, when he appeared in the drama “When Father Was Away On Business “, directed by Emir Kusturica. During the same year, Jasmin rose to prominence with his breakthrough role as Mima Šiš in the popular Yugoslav TV show “Audicija” (“The Audition”), which he later reprized in “Nova Audicija” ( “New Audition”) in 1991.

Acting career in Canada

From 1992 to 1997, Jasmin had to take a break since he immigrated to Canada in 1993, during the war in Bosnia.
